Guest lectures
1. The CESC initiated its official
working for the academic year 2006-07, with an inaugural function, arranged on
24th August 2006. Mr. Sunil Kushire, executive
engineer, Tembhu Lift Irrigation Project; was the
chief guest of this function. He introduced the Tembhu
Lift Irrigation Project to the students and also gave various technical details
with an interesting slide show. Being an alumnus of this department, he also
enjoyed an informal talk with students.
2. Mr. Suhas Inamdar (Deputy Engineer, Karad Muncipal
Council) presented Poetry session on 19th August 2006.
Teacher’s day 5th September 2006
CESC celebrated Teacher’s day in a
very special way. On this day final year students played the role of teacher
and taught to the students of T.E. & S.E. Civil.
All teachers and students who played
the role as a teacher were felicitated on the occasion.
Blood donation camp
On 1st October 2007, CESC
has jointly organized a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ with NSS. Along with CESC
members, students and lecturers of various branches of institute gave
tremendous response to this camp.
Aptitude Test
Recognizing the opportunities in
private sector and to groom students for the same, CESC planned and conducted
weekly aptitude test for the students throughout the year.
CESC conducted a General Knowledge
test on 19 January 2007. In this semester CESC conducted G.D, Debates,
Technical aptitude, Quantitative aptitude and G.K. test on every working
Saturday for improvement of communication skills and personality development of
the students.
Seminar Presentations:
The
students were motivated to present seminars by arranging an intra-department
seminar presentation competition on 15th September 2006 on the
occasion of Engineer’s day.
The
topics were chosen by the CESC committee in such a way that it could be an
extra syllabi research for the students. Miss Mayuri Bhate and Miss Shweta Patankar (S.E.) were the winners of this
Seminar.
Cultural Activities

A
Rangoli Competition was arranged on
01/09/2006 for the students of this Department and Supriya
Rayjade, Madhura Barkale, Vaibhavi Patil, Pallavi vellahal were the winners of the Rangoli
competition.

A
Mehandi Competition was arranged on
20/01/2007 for the students of this Department and the winners were issued the
Certificate of Merit.
Alumni Meet
The alumni meet was arranged on 24th
September 2006. On this occasion Mr.M.K.Kulkarni, Ex-Principal Secretary, Irrigation
Department, Govt. of Maharashtra Mr.D.N.Modak Supt.Engg. (Quality control), V.G. Kulkarni
visited this college.
Departmental library
Student chapter purchased 28 books
costing near about Rs. 5000/- during this year
keeping in view the requirement of students.
Study Room
·
CESC
study room facility is available for twenty-four hours to the students. Study
room also has separate collection of books and journals for references.
