About The Department    Entire teaching is carried out by using advanced teaching aids like OHP, permanently fixed in classrooms of UG and PG classes. Apart from all the facilities for teaching and learning, this department has the following well-equipped laboratories.

     The department has also separate computer laboratory well equipped with latest versions of PC's It has Windows 95, Windows 98, Turbo C, Borland C++, Smart Suit. Besides this, digitizer, plotter, Laser ,dot matrix and inkjet printers are available with laboratory. It has also the latest software ANSYS & I-Deas for modelling infinite element and CAFIMS project software developed by IIT, Mumbai. The AICTE, New Dehli has sanctioned grants for modernization of different laboratories in the department Through this scheme IC Engines laboratory (6.5 lakhs) is equipped with PC based engine test rig and emission testing facilities. Also CAD / CAM and Refrigeration laboratories too have received Rs 6 lakh and 4.5 lakh respectively from AlCTE and the modernization of these laboratories is underway. Experimental testing of flat plate solar water system is in use as a hot water facility for hostels.
